Air Force Maj. Andre McDonald, 40, of San Antonio, was arrested over the weekend and charged with murdering his wife, Andreen McDonald, 29

US Air Force major was arrested over the weekend for allegedly killing his wife and using gasoline, an ax and a ‘burn barrel’ to dismember her body, which authorities said they found four days ago in a private lot six miles away from the couple’s home in San Antonio, Texas.
Andre McDonald, 40, was charged with murder on Saturday after a pedestrian discovered the skull and bones of his wife, Andreen McDonald, 29, Thursday about 20 yards from a 50-acre private property in the 600 block of Specht Road just east of Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis in the central Texas city.
Court documents obtained by KSAT-TV indicate the wife’s remains were laid beneath wood and a dead cow’s bones before they were set on fire.
Investigators also found some kind of plastic or synthetic material melted among the remains, according to an affidavit.
Bexar County Sheriff deputies took Andre McDonald into custody at the San Antonio home on Solitude Cove where he lived with his wife and the couple’s young autistic daughter, who authorities said saw her father dismembering her mother’s body.

The unnamed child made comments to relatives about ‘Andre hurting mommy’ and even managed to recreate the scene where Andreen’s remains were discovered, according to court records.


Reenacting the crime in a backyard, the little girl previously placed some small sticks over a doll before pouring a liquid on the pile and asking people for ‘the fire,’ according to Andre McDonald’s arrest warrant.
Officials noted in court documents that the crime scene on Specht Road was very similar to the scene the child portrayed.
Andreen’s loved ones told investigators that she previously told them if she was ever found dead, ‘it was because Andre McDonald killed her,’ according to the arrest warrant.
Authorities recovered Andreen McDonald’s body on Thursday in the 600 block of Specht Road, located six miles away from the couple’s San Antonio home.

The 29-year-old’s mother, Hyacinth Smith, said she knew Andre had a temper, but has no idea why he would want to kill her daughter.
‘I don’t know what got into him this [time] but it must be the devil. I don’t know,’ Smith said.


Andreen McDonald, who owned her own assisted living business, was last seen alive on February 28, the day surveillance video from a local Pizza Hut showed her leaving the restaurant with her daughter.
Records obtained by investigators show Andreen’s cellphone hasn’t been used since the night of February 28.

Andre McDonald reported his wife missing March 1, however he has now been indicted on a charge of tampering with or fabricating evidence after authorities determined he bought a shovel, an ax, gasoline and a ‘burn barrel’ before tearing up the receipts and throwing them in the trash, where investigators found them later.
