Father accused of killing wife, three kids denies he was in Florida home when the brutal attack occurred

Authorities suspect they were killed sometime in December, and that Todt stayed with them in the weeks after he drugged them with Benadryl and then slaughtered them.

All of victims except for the youngest suffered from stab wounds. Their dog, Breezy, was also discovered dead at the residence.

Anthony Todt is changing his story, instead claiming that he was not present when his family was brutally attacked in their luxury home located just outside the Walt Disney World resort in Florida.
Todt is facing multiple counts of homicide for the slayings of Megan Todt and their three children, 3-year-old Alek, 11-year-old Tyler and 4-year-old Zoe.
Authorities said the 44-year-old suspect admitted to the killings following his arrest earlier this year, but has since denied doing so in a pair of jailhouse phone calls with his sister, Chrissy Caplet.
Recordings of the conversations, obtained by the The Day of New London, occurred in March and April.
“I couldn’t stop this because I wasn’t there,” Todt said.

“There were multiple attempts, just so you know, multiple attempts in the last… over a time frame, there’s been attempts,” Todt said at the time. “Which is why this time I was stuck down here trying to handle things.”

The Todt’s, both physical therapists, had recently moved from Colchester, Connecticut, to Celebration, Florida. It’s not clear how long they had lived in the rented home but court documents show the couple had recently been served with an eviction notice.
Celebration, a gated community on the outskirts of Disney World, boosts population of around 7, 400 people and was created by the Walt Disney company.  

Todt, a physical therapist in Connecticut, would often travel down to Florida to spend the weekends with his family after spending the week working at his Colchester-based Family Physical Therapy. He was initially charged in connection with a fraud case linked to his business before authorities said he confessed to massacring his family.
State Attorney Aramis Ayala has said her office will seek the death penalty in the case.
