Murray is charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a rifle or shotgun outside of a business, possession of unregistered ammunition and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device
He remains in custody

A 31-year-old man from San Antonio was arrested near the Washington D.C. home of Vice President Kamala Harris while in possession of an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, 113 rounds of unregistered ammunition, and five 30 round magazines, police have confirmed.
Paul Murray, 31, was detained early Wednesday afternoon near the vice president’s residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory.
The San Antonio native who reportedly, was discharged from the Army in 2014 due to schizophrenia, was in possession of an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, 113 rounds of unregistered ammunition, and five 30 round magazines, police have confirmed.
The Army veteran allegedly sent his mother a text message earlier in the day saying he was in the nation’s capital to ‘take care of his problem.’
He has been charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a rifle or shotgun outside of a business, possession of unregistered ammunition and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
He remains in custody.


Texas intelligence agency alerted federal partners Wednesday that Murray might have been in Washington D.C.
They stated that he had been experiencing ‘paranoid delusions’ that the military or government wanted to kill him.
Uniformed officers for the Secret Service nabbed Murray just after midday after spotting him in close proximity to the Vice President’s home.
Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department said its officers subsequently arrived on the scene and took him into custody. The Army vet allegedly complained to police that he wasn’t getting support from Veteran’s Affairs and was not taking prescribed medication.
Murray’s arrest was captured by a YouTube user named PenguinSix, who shared the footage online.


Uniformed officers for the Secret Service nabbed Murray just after midday after spotting him in close proximity to the Vice President’s home. No one was injured at the time of the armed man’s arrest.
Harris and her husband, Douglas Emhoff, were not inside the Vice President’s residence at the time.
The couple are currently staying at the nearby Blair House, a guest home for the White House, as the official residence undergoes renovations.
