Ex-Brazilian Miss BumBum winner who appeared on cover of Playboy is jailed eight years for prostitution and drug trafficking

Flavia Tamayo, 23, who has been dubbed ‘Power Queen’ and ‘Power Panther’, was arrested in June 2020 over drug-trafficking and prostitution in the federal capital Brasilia

She controversially won a regional Miss BumBum beauty pageant competition which was almost taken away when she later admitted that she had a bioplasty, a non-invasive butt lift

Tamayo’s arrest made headlines when police officers tried to apprehend her in a hotel lobby and she caused a scene by furiously stripping off in front of officers

The winner of a Brazilian Miss BumBum competition who also appeared on the cover of Portuguese playboy has been jailed for eight years, after running a service offering a combo of sexual services and class A drugs to clients according to police the in the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo.
Flavia Tamayo, 23, who also goes by the name Pamela Pantera, was found guilty of dealing drugs and prostitution after being arrested last year. 
The adult film star was part of an all-women drug-trafficking scheme run by a criminal organization set up by prostitutes. 
She has been detained in prison in Espirito Santo between June and September last year pending her trial.  
Investigators found that the adult entertainment actress and her accomplices had specialized in the distribution and sale of Class A narcotics, including cocaine. 

Ex-Miss Bumbum Brazil, Flavia Tamayo arrested on prostitution charges. CCTV footage of the arrest has now been released, showing Tamayo carrying shopping bags as she is approached by a plain-clothes officer who takes her by the arm and leads her away 

The police investigators found that the group had been selling drugs to wealthy customers in the Federal District where the capital Brasília is located. 
The customers are believed to have paid between 500 and 1,000 Brazilian real [$96 – $192], for the group’s services.

Tamayo, who has been dubbed the ‘Power Queen’ and ‘Power Panther’, once featured on the cover of Playboy in Portugal, and she also participated in a regional Miss BumBum contest – which rewards the women with the best buttocks – which she won in 2018.
The São Paulo native claimed that she was a real estate broker and a Marketing student when she signed up for the contest that would choose a mascot for the World Cup, three years ago.
She also featured in pornographic films, according to Brazilian online magazine Last Second, in which she went by her industry name Pamela Pantera.
Her arrest made headlines when police officers tried to apprehend her and she caused a scene at a hotel, taking her clothes off in front of the officers and guests. 

During the raids carried out by the police on 5th June 2020, during which they served 37 arrest warrants, they seized large amounts of cocaine, firearms and ammunition.
Investigators at the time said that they believed that the criminal organization run by the prostitutes had a ‘sex program’ that involved supplying escorts and drugs to rich clients.
When she was arrested last year, she was found with a small amount of marijuana and rolled-up dollar bills which she said were used to take drugs. CCTV footage of her arrest has now been released, showing her carrying shopping bags as she is approached by a plain-clothes officer who takes her by the arm and leads her away. 
‘The information we have is that she created a package, a combo of prostitution and drug sales, either for the consumption of that [sexual] relationship, or for a later,’ prosecutor Rafael Correa said at the time of her arrest last year.
‘She worked at first as a call girl providing drugs to people who were contracting her services,’ he said. ‘But there is also evidence that she also had something like a drug delivery service in the federal capital [Brasilia].’ 
While prostitution itself is not illegal in Brazil, employing sex workers and running brothels are. 

The court said that the model can serve her sentence in a semi-open facility and the sentence can be appealed.
Tamayo winning the national Miss Bumbum pageant generated controversy after she admitted that she underwent a bioplasty with Denis César Barros Furtado, aka Dr. Bumbum.
The organizers of the contest at a point even considered taking the crown away from her. She said that she had paid R$ 40,000 for the procedure, but denied that she had a butt implant. 
The discovery was made as the the doctor was embroiled in a lawsuit over the death of a female patient after an aesthetic intervention at his clinic in Rio de Janeiro.
