R&B superstar R. Kelly shamed a 17-year-old girl he gave herpes when it caused her pain during sex – and later beat her with his size 12 Air Force 1 shoe, the still-traumatized victim testified Monday.
The witness, who is now 23, identified herself on the stand in Brooklyn Federal Court using the pseudonym Jane. She, first met Kelly at the Dolphin Hotel in Orlando just days after getting his attention at an April 2015 concert, she said.

The underage victim hoped to get advice on how to make it in the music industry, but Kelly instead forced her to get naked and walk back and forth before performing a sex act on her, she testified.
While the two were alone in the room, two Florida police officers knocked at the door. Kelly yelled at Jane to get dressed in the bathroom, she said.
“He was very anxious and scared,” she testified.
“He said, ‘Are you 18?’ I said yes.
He said ‘Don’t lie to me.’”
The officers were looking for Jane in response to a 911 call from her parents, who contacted authorities after being unable to reach her.
According Jane, Kelly had made her turn off her phone because he feared being recorded.
The officers looked at the girl’s drivers license, which noted her age, but did not ask any questions about sex. Instead,
“They said if he [Kelly] was ever in Orlando and needed security to let them know,” the alleged victim, testified.
The victim’s testimony comes during the second week of Kelly’s sex abuse trial.

Witness said she observed other beatings that Kelly delivered to his live-in girlfriends, including spankings, slaps and punches. He would also “drag them by their hair” and hit them with objects like shoes and cords, she testified.

After her initial meeting with Kelly in Orlando, Jane began traveling the country to attend R. Kelly shows on the singer’s dime, she testified.
She hoped he would jumpstart her own singing career.
But Kelly was much more focused on sex, she testified.
As their relationship progressed, R. Kelly began introducing rules into the high school junior’s life, instructing her to wear “loose and baggy” clothing and call him “Daddy” as well as “chastising” her when she erred from his rules, she testified.
When the victim revealed that she had been texting her friend Mia, the singer exploded in rage, she testified.
“Are you ready to be honest?” Kelly allegedly asked her as he punched and slapped the 17-year-old.
“He hit me all over,” she told the court.
Then, she testified, the 6-foot Kelly beat her with his Air Force 1 shoe.
“I finally broke,” said the victim, who stands just under 5 feet.
The witness said she observed other beatings that Kelly delivered to his live-in girlfriends, including spankings, slaps and punches.
According to her testimony Kelly would also “drag them by their hair” and hit his women with objects like shoes and cords.

 R. Kelly’s former girlfriend told jurors at his sex abuse trial that she suffered through a five-year relationship with the R&B singer during trial at Brooklyn federal court on Monday

She said that Kelly would smack her so hard when spanking her that she would bruise and sometimes her skin would tear. But when she saw the violence against other girls and women, it only cemented her obedience to Kelly.
“I felt like I needed to listen even more because that could happen to me,” she said.
Jane also recounted how Kelly infected her with herpes shortly after they met.
Less than a month into knowing Kelly, the two had sexual intercourse for the first time, and the singer did not mention that he had previously been diagnosed with herpes – Prosecutors on Thursday afternoon presented testimony from R. Kelly’s doctor, Kris McGrath, who said he began prescribing Kelly an anti-viral drug in 2007 to treat his herpes.
McGrath said he also advised Kelly to start practicing safe sex.
McGrath said he prescribed Kelly the herpes medication so often that he ended up memorizing the phone number of Kelly’s pharmacy.
On Monday Jane testified while weeping on the stand, that she contracted herpes from Kelly: “I felt this man had purposely given me something he knew he had… He was agitated and said I could have gotten that from anyone,” she recalled, even though she had never had sex with anyone else.
Kelly had a heartless response to her constant herpes outbreaks after sex.
“I think your p—y is broken,” she recalled him saying.
She confessed her true age to Kelly in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, telling him she was 17.
“He slapped me in my face with an open palm… He had never hit me ever before,” she testified.
But Kelly’s anger quickly faded and he told her he would speak to his attorneys about the situation.

Continuing her testimony Tuesday, the same Kelly victim said R. Kelly told her that her parents sold her for ‘bricks’ of drugs:.
“He confided in me that a previous manager named Mase had given my parents a few bricks in exchange for me,” she said at Kelly’s Brooklyn Federal Court sex trafficking trial.
The testimony came as the woman, who is referring to herself as Jane, explained how Kelly would make his live-in girlfriends feel as if their families did not care about them.
“He would say that we were worthless, that we did not mean anything to them,” she said.
The victim continued her testimony from Monday, detailing her physical, emotional and sexual abuse at the hands of Kelly. She testified that toward the end of her relationship with Kelly, she did an interview with Gayle King on CBS in March 2019 to defend Kelly.

On March 7, 2019, R. Kelly’s two remaining live in girlfriends, Azriel Clary, 21, and Joycelyn Savage, 23, during an interview with Gayle King of CBS, denied allegations of sexual or physical abuse as well as trafficking, levelled against Kelly

But the woman admitted she was lying during the viral interview, she said.
She went on the CBS show with another Kelly girlfriend and described her relationship with him as healthy.
“Were you being truthful when you spoke to Gayle King?” asked Assistant U.S. Attorney Maria Cruz Melendez.
“I was not,” the woman responded.
She also noted that Kelly, was present in the room and coughed in a distinctive manner to remind his two girlfriends of his presence.

In early march 2019, Gayle King of CBS had a now infamous interview with R. Kelly’s two remaining live in girlfriends — Azriel Clary, 21, and Joycelyn Savage, 23. Both women denied allegations of sexual or physical abuse as well as trafficking, levelled against Kelly. King [left], later told TIME she was surprised at how hard Clary seemed to come for her once the interview started. One of the women Tuesday told the Federal High Court in Brooklyn that she was lying at the time
King started with interviewing R Kelly who appeared out of control. Kelly had just spent a weekend in jail after he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse pertaining to four women, including three who were minors when the alleged abuse occurred

The interview came just months after the Lifetime documentary “Surviving R. Kelly” was released and months before the singer was slapped with federal charges in Chicago and New York.
She recalled on the stand how Kelly told her and another alleged victim, Joy, that there was a documentary coming out about him in 2019. “Everything was false,”
She remembered Kelly telling her about the forthcoming documentary series. He also told the two women to switch the channel if the documentary ever came on.

The show came out toward the end of Kelly’s relationship with Jane, who was one of his last supportive live-in girlfriends.
She left the singer in October 2019 and began speaking with federal prosecutors in January 2020, she testified.
She detailed how the abusive relationship devolved into daily spankings, which Kelly called “chastising,” after which she was forced to write letters to the allegedly illiterate singer profusely apologizing, she said.
“The defendant saw chastising as teaching,” she said.
“It was to help me… remember the way to act and be.”
But in her apology letters, the woman sometimes pushed back against the way Kelly treated her.“
Your pride and ego is involved,” she wrote in one undated letter.
“As long as I’m still apologizing and accepting my chastising you should be happy… I’m not going to get spankings over and over because my apology isn’t up to your standards.”
She had to write letters like that every two to three days, she testified.
The woman also detailed how Kelly would force her, as punishment, to have sex with one of his male victims, known as “Nephew.”

“He said that he had been grooming Nephew since he was young like me,” said the woman.
On cross examination, Kelly lawyer Deveraux Cannick suggested that the girl’s parents were trying to get her close to Kelly so they could benefit financially. Jane admitted under questioning that her parents sought to get Kelly to “endorse a bluetooth dildo” that would synch to Kelly’s music while in use.
“He actually told them to give him a proper proposal,” Jane testified, admitting that in private,
Kelly rejected the idea. “He just said it was not something he could ever do,” she said.
