Coral Springs resident Dale Spidle, 35, now faces a slew of charges for the alleged murders after being arrested by cops following a hectic car chase that spanned several cities.
‘He’s completely naked, and then I saw he’s out of his mind,’ witness Lorena Sagna told CBS, after seeing Spidle crash his car while fleeing from cops, hopping out on foot before being apprehended in Coconut Creek.
Spidle, who lives in Coral Springs, is accused of premeditated murder, robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and resisting an officer with violence.
According to the police report, Friday’s mayhem began at an apartment complex where Spidle lived next-door to victims Elizabeth Carmona, 31, and her 10-month-old nephew.
Police say that Spidle – whom Neighbors said the suspect had repeatedly exchanged noise complaints with Carmona, the slain woman. On Friday dale somehow gained access to the victim’s apartment, where he killed her and severely injured the child.
The baby was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, after sustaining a head injury. It’s unclear how exactly both were killed.
Spidle then fled the scene in a silver 2019 Kia, cops said. At around 2 pm, he was involved in a hit-and-run less than two miles from the complex, on Northwest 88th Avenue, which leads into Coconut Creek.
Cops were quickly called to the scene, where an officer briefly encountered the suspect before he fled the scene in his car.

‘The officer initially did make contact with that driver who then ended up fleeing from that scene,’ Coral Springs Police Deputy Chief Brad McKeone said.
Shortly after, Spidle was reportedly involved in a crash involving four cars six miles west, in Pompano Beach.
It was here, officers say, that a naked Spidle produced a firearm and shot the male driver of a white pickup truck he had hit, and proceeded to commandeer the vehicle, again evading capture.
Two other motorist were injured in the initial crash, cops said, adding that they were not attacked by Spidle.
Officers that arrived at the scene of the second crash reportedly then began investigating the suspect’s initial vehicle, leading them to Spidle’s unit at the Coral Hill apartment complex, located on Northwest 88th Avenue.
Upon searching the premises, officers came across the door to the murdered woman’s apartment, which was ajar. Police entered the domicile to discover the mom dead and the child in critical condition.

Officers say a naked Spidle then commandeered the vehicle, producing a firearm and fatally shooting the driver of a white pickup truck he’d hit as the man was taking photographs of his tag.
‘The female was ultimately pronounced deceased on scene and the young male infant was transported to Broward General, where he is being treated by medical staff there,’ McKeone said at the time.
The infant died later that day, police said, succumbing to his injuries at the hospital.
After escaping the site of the second crash, Spidle circled back to Coconut Creek, cops say, where he was involved in a third crash – outside a Walgreens at the corner of Sample Road and Lyons Road, ending up in a puddle of water.
At this point, Spidle again escaped on foot – during which time he tried to snatch a woman’s necklace, still fully nude. A woman recorded cellphone video of the suspect walking in the nude.
This time, officers, who arrived on the scene to find Spidle walking around naked, managed to detain the suspect.
He was arrested and is currently being held without bail.
Diane Hirschfield, one of Spidle’s and Carmona’s neighbors at the Coral Hill complex, told local outlet WSVN that the suspect had problems with the young aunt, who reportedly lived with her nephew.
‘They would move furniture,’ she said, ‘and he would bang on the wall, and she’d complain that he was waking the baby up.

Over the weekend, crime scene investigators were seen removing evidence from the Carmona’s apartment, as they continue to look into what spurred the string of murders.
So far, cops say that the murder of his neighbor Elizabeth Carmona and her nephew was premeditated, meaning Spidle will likely face two first-degree murder charges – counts that could see him executed if found guilty.
Authorities have not revealed if Spidle was intoxicated or on drugs at the time of his arrest.
On Saturday, Spidle appeared before a judge, where he was read a long list of charges for the killing spree, including premeditated murder. He only responded to complain that he could not feel his arm because it was broken in two places and he’d been kept locked up in a cell for two days.
Police did not reveal if Spidle was intoxicated or on drugs at the time of his arrest. An investigation is currently underway.
