A former Oklahoma cheerleading coach has been accused of forcing a 16-year-old student – who dated her own teenage daughter – into a long-running sexual relationship that has been described as ‘manipulative and controlling.’
Jennifer Hawkins, 45, worked part-time at Moore Public School District during the alleged relationship with the victim and has since been fired, a district spokesperson told Fox News. According to court documents, the victim is a former Southmoore High School student.
The relationship started in September 2017 when the teen was a sophomore.
The boy who has since graduated from the school told police that he had been raped ‘numerous times, sending a letter with the allegations on January 27, to district officials from a rehab center in California.
Hawkins initially denied the allegations but then ‘admitted she made a mistake and began crying and admitted to having been in a sexual relationship’ with the student a probable affidavit obtained by the outlet read.
The now 21-year-old victim claimed that he had been raped numerous times by the 45-year-old woman at her home in Oklahoma.
When asked how many times she and the victim had sex, Hawkins allegedly responded, ‘No clue,’ which police say indicated it was ‘numerous times.’
During the relationship which lasted until 2022 Hawkins picked up the victim during lunch, brought him to her house, and the two engaged in intercourse, law and crime reported.
The victim told police that he estimated that the pair had sex more than 300 times and that the pair met through Hawkins’ daughter who the victim dated for an unspecified time and knew from school
It’s unclear whether the daughter and victim were still involved when the relationship started.
The complainant dated Hawkins’ daughter initially. The victim claims she then, began prompting him for “a sexual relationship,” the affidavit states.
According to the affidavit their first sexual incident happened in August 2017. The victim said he was watching a soccer game with Hawkins in the living room and she “put her hand on his penis.”
The victim told police that they then engaged in a sexual act and that he remembered Hawkins telling him “he would remember that soccer match for the rest of his life.”
The victim showed police texts between him and Hawkins, who ‘got angry’ with the victim if he looked at other women on social media, the affidavit stated.
In the texts, he allegedly told Hawkins: ‘I want you in my life. I just don’t want a romantic relationship.’
According to court documents, Hawkins told police that the victim had also been living with her family when the relationship began.
Hawkins was arrested and booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center.
She was fired from her job and charged with one count each of second-degree rape and sexual battery.
