Former female college hockey stars were shot dead inside their Florida apartment by a boyfriend over the weekend before killing himself in a double homicide-suicide

Police believe Luis Napoles, 40, shot his girlfriend Meghan Moore, 25, outside her apt before entering and gunning down her roommate Sidney Capolino, 23

All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene – the women were roommates while Napoles lived about 2 miles away, in West Miami

Capolino graduated in 2022 and Moore in 2021, both girls were stars on the New England College women’s ice hockey team

Two former female college hockey stars, both in their early twenties, have been shot dead inside their Florida apartment by a boyfriend, who then turned took his own life at the scene on Saturday night. 
Miami-Dade Police believe Luis Napoles, 40, shot his girlfriend Meghan Moore, 25, outside her home before entering the apartment and gunning down her roommate Sidney Capolino, 23, on Saturday night.
Napoles police believe, arrived at the apartment complex and shot Moore, outside of the residence.
He then entered the apartment, where he proceeded to shoot her roommate, Sidney Capolino, before taking his own life.

Officers responded to the bloodbath at the Windsor Ludlam Trail Apartments around 9pm and found Meghan suffering from a gunshot wound outside the apartment.
While attempting to treat her for her injuries, officers heard the sound of another gunshot from inside the condominium. 
The complex was evacuated and Miami-Dade PD’s SWAT team entered. They found Capolino inside with a bullet wound, as well as the alleged shooter Luis Napoles, who was suffering from an ‘apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.’

All three were pronounced dead on the scene.
However, not even death could separate Meghan Moore and Sidney Capolino, both graduates of New England College, where they played on the school’s women’s ice hockey team.
Police said that Napoles had been dating Meghan, and that Sidney was her roommate. 
Authorities have not said what led to the murder-suicide.

Moore was originally from Centerville, Massachusetts, and Sidney was from Pawling, New York, according to their student-athlete biographies. 
New England College President Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr. issued a statement Monday to confirm their deaths.   
‘Meghan and Sidney were known to many on campus, and we are deeply saddened by this devastating news,’ he wrote.

Shooting victim Sidney Capolino [photo], was from Pawling, New York, according to her student-athlete biography. She was roommates with her friend Meghan Moore whose boyfriend Luis Napoles, allegedly was the shooter in the double homicide-suicide. Capolino who graduated in 2022 and Moore who graduated in 2021 were well known on campus, the college said

‘We are keeping Sidney and Meghan’s families and friends in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.’
New England College said Sidney Capolino graduated in 2022 and Meghan Moore in 2021.  
‘As the campus community pauses to process the gravity of the event, it is important that we support and care for each other,’ they said while offering counseling services. 
A hockey coach linked to the college posted a heartbreaking tribute to the graduates on social media.  
‘Both such amazing girls taken from us way too soon. Meg and Sid, you’re both going to be missed so much,’ she wrote.
‘Rest in peace sweet girls.’
