A Las Vegas man allegedly shot his ex-wife and killed her new girlfriend in a fit of jealous rage last week after his ex told him she was done with him.
Adrian Rodriguez-Guillen, 41, had told the on-again, off-again couple that he was going to “kill them and send them to hell” months earlier, according 8 News Now.
He followed through on that brutal promise January 3, when the jilted lover blocked in the girlfriend, 40-year-old Adriana Herrera, as she went to pick up the stalker’s yet to be identified ex at about 4:45 p.m. that day — and allegedly shot her to death. The shooter’s ex-wife was treated for non-threatening injuries.
Rodriguez-Guillen ambushed the pair, parking his own car behind a neighbor’s truck so the women could not spot him.
When Herrera arrived, he sped in front of her Hyundai in an attempt to block the women and stop them leaving, only for Herrera to backed up and take off, with the assailant in pursuit
Following the pair, Rodriguez-Guillen cut Herrera off when she stopped in traffic and got out of his car with a rifle in-hand.
Herrera opened her door to confront Rodriguez-Guillen who allegedly walked up, squeezed off three rounds, grievously wounded her. As his ex-wife grabbed her lover and held her close, Rodriguez-Guillen told her to move and shot Herrera in the face.
He then he pulled a handgun and made like he was going to shoot himself, but he stopped when he saw that one of the bullets had passed through Herrera and hit his ex-wife in the hip.
At that point he began apologizing, as he called police to report that he had just shot someone around Sacks and Blanton drives in the east Las Vegas valley.

Murder suspect Rodriguez-Guillen was denied bail Tuesday following his court appearance for shooting his ex-wife and her same-sex lover, killing the latter

Cops arrested Rodriguez-Guillen and pronounced Herrera — who’d been shot in the body and head — dead at the scene, the outlet said.
Paramedics brought Rodriguez-Guillen’s ex to the hospital, where she told authorities that she and Rodriguez-Guillen had been in a 24-year relationship before their split.
They’d married in 2001, then divorced 12 years later. But the couple — who had seven children together — kept living together and remained romantically involved.
But about 18 months ago, she met Herrera and the two started their own on-again, off-again relationship. The three reportedly worked together at Harry Reid International Airport.
Around two months ago, Rodriguez-Guillen’s wife said she permanently ended her relationship with her ex-husband because she didn’t love him anymore, then rekindled her romance with Herrera.
According to the woman, her “very jealous and controlling” ex-husband didn’t handle the breakup well. He allegedly, threatened the women that he was going to “kill them and send them to hell.”

The victim, Adriana Herrera, died at the scene of shooting

He flew into a rage Friday January 3, when his ex told him she planned to hang out with Herrera, and allegedly sprung his trap when Herrera came to pick her up.
The victim reportedly told cops she didn’t think Rodriguez-Guillen meant to shoot her during the ambush.
The shooter who remained at the scene, was arrested by police and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
He’s been charged with open murder with the use of a deadly weapon, attempted murder, kidnapping, burglary and other offenses, and was denied bail on Tuesday. His next court date is Feb. 19.
