Within three minutes of the post going live, cops were dispatched to Lesniak’s home in response to reports of a shooting
When officers arrived at the home, they found Cathleen dead from a gunshot wound and George dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound

George Lesniak of North Carolina made a chilling confession on a Facebook group he moderated. The now-deleted post included a confession that he had killed his wife and was going to kill himselfÂ
Over the weekend, a North Carolina couple were found deceased minutes after the husband confessed to killing his wife and his plans to take his own life on social media after he caught his wife cheating.
George Lesniak, 63, wrote on a Facebook page he was the sole administrator of that he had killed his wife, Cathleen Lesniak, 59, on the evening of Saturday, January 18.
‘My wife admitted to cheating on me, so I killed her. I’m about to kill myself,’ he wrote in a now-deleted post on the ADAS Support group around 6pm. ‘Figure this group out for yourselves.’
Within three minutes of the post going live, Fuquay-Varina police were dispatched to couple’s home in response to reports of a shooting.Â

Lesniak said that Cathleen, his wife of 34 years, admitted to cheating on him, wrote on a Facebook page he was the sole administrator of. In the post he said that he had killed his wife, following her confession of infidelity

Responding officers found Cathleen Lesniak dead from a gunshot wound. Her husband George was also dead from an apparent ‘self-inflicted’ gunshot wound.Â
‘This incident is deeply tragic and we urge the community to keep the family in their thoughts,’ the Fuquay-Varina Police Department wrote on social media.
It is not clear that there was lingering tension between the the couple who had been married for 34 years. In his last public post on his personal Facebook page from early December, George posted a photograph of the pair dancing and kissing.

Lesniak, the vice president of training for Autel Automotive Intelligence USA, ran the Facebook group for professionals who adjust sensors and camera’s in a car’s Advanced Driver Assistance System to monitor its surroundings. His wife Cathleen was employed as a technical production manager at Advance Auto Parts.Â
Autel posted a short statement about the tragedy on Sunday, writing: ‘We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred at the Lesniak residence on January 18.
‘We at Autel express our heartfelt condolences to the Lesniak family and friends.’Â
