A veteran New York police officer has been charged with assaulting her police officer toyboy after a brawl broke out between the pair. NYPD detective Melissa Negron is accused of showing up at Edgard De Los Santos’s Manhattan apartment at 3am on June 10.
In her complaint Negron claimed De Los Santos answered the door, yelling ‘what the f*** are you doing here’, before punching her in the face and pulling her by the hair to the floor.
Her complaint accused her younger colleague of kicking and punching her ‘multiple times’ to the ‘face, ribs, chest, head and back’, before hitting her with a wooden chair.
When she started yelling for help, De Los Santos allegedly demanded that she ‘shut up because the police was there’, as he continued to ‘twist her lips’ and punch her.
De Los Santos is also accused of pressing his fingers into Negron’s eyes, and causing ‘multiple lacerations and contusions to her face head, body and back’.

42-year-old Melissa Negron who is married to fellow another senior police officer, Lt. Luis Negron, is rumored to be having an affair with the 27-year-old police officer. Discovering Dos Los Santos with another woman, allegedly sparked the brutal early morning brawl.
‘She was jealous that he was with someone else, but she is married to a lieutenant herself’, one police source opined. 
‘She is married and had the nerve to be upset that her partner was at his house with another female.
‘She goes to his house upset and both get into a crazy brawl. She has a broken jaw and possible broken ribs – you can’t make this ****t up.’

Days-old posts on social media show Negron celebrating her ten-year wedding anniversary with her husband on June 1, with effusive PDAs, posting several photos with husband, Luis Negron, 43, with the caption ‘Anything worth having takes time.. celebrating ten years of marriage.’
Her husband reportedly, was blindsided by the affair, exposed just days after when Melissa was arrested.
Melissa Negron a 19-year-veteran of law enforcement, is a decorated officer, who received two excellent police duty awards in 2007 and 2010. Edgard De Los Santos is in his fourth year working for the NYPD.
The pair it is believed met while both were assigned to the 44th precinct.
Despite being the first to lodge allegations of assault, Det. Negron has been charged with assault and Officer De Los Santos with attempted assault.
Both have been suspended without pay pending an investigation into the allegations.
