A jealous ex-wife got four people to execute her doctor ex-husband so she could get her hands on his money after he re-married and had a baby, according to a new lawsuit filed by the victim’s widow.
Ahang Mirshojae, 53, and four others were arrested last December over the shooting death of emergency care Dr Hamid Mirshojae in Los Angeles.
Dr. Mirshojae , 61, was ambushed in the parking lot of his clinic on August 23, 2024, by assailants who approached him from behind.

The doctor’s ex Ahang Kelk, [photo], charged with first-degree murder, has pled not guilty. Their many court battles began in 2009 with their protracted divorce, expanded to include two fraud cases, a civil harassment battle and four applications for restraining orders for assaults, continuing 15 years after their divorce

Police saidĀ Evan Hardman, 42, shot Hamid in the back of the head as he walked to his car after work while Ashley Rose Sweeting, 41, drove him to and from the crime scene.
Sarallah Jawed, 27, is accused of then driving Hardman out of the state following the execution style murder, while Shawn Randolph, 47, allegedly obtained the ghost gun used in the attack.
Ahang Kelk Mirshojae, the alleged mastermind of the killing, and the four other suspects have all pled not guilty to all charges.Ā 
His new wife Ghazal Simorgh, and six-month-old baby were in Turkey at the time of the his assassination.
Dr Mirshojae’s family has filed a civil lawsuit claiming Ahang Kelk Mirshojae hired a Texas hitman to kill the doctor so she could get his money and block his new younger wife, Ghazal Simorgh, and infant daughter from accessing the funds.Ā 
In a lawsuit that alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress, wrongful death, survival claims and fraudulent asset transfers, the widow alleges her late husband’s ex Ahang Kelk and Evan Hardman, both charged with first-degree murder, spent weeks ‘meticulously planning’ the murder-for-hire.

The accused killers enlisted the help of the three other defendants by promising them thousands of dollars in payment, according to the lawsuit.Ā 
‘Hamid Mirshojae was leaving the building of his medical practice at Warner Plaza Medical Center and walking to his vehicle located in the parking lot,’ the suit claims.
‘As he walked towards his vehicle, Hardman, who had been laying in wait for Hamid Mirshojae to emerge from his office, in the most brutal and cowardly manner, repeatedly shot Hamid Mirshojae with a gun and fled, leaving Hamid Mirshojae to die in the parking lot, which he did.’Ā 
The complaint also accuses Ahang, who had three children with the doctor before their divorce, of trying to hide financial assets and real estate.
According to Simorgh’s lawsuit,Ā Ahang Kelk was resentful after the doctor moved on with his life 15 years after their 2009 divorce.
Driven by ‘avarice and vengeance,’ the alleged killer ex-wife had demanded money from Hamid repeatedly since their marriage ended, the suit alleges.Ā 
Ahang ‘consistently demanded money from Hamid due to a combination of her own reckless spending, inability to manage her finances, and outright greed,’ the suit claims.
The lawsuit alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress, wrongful death, survival claims and fraudulent asset transfers.Ā

As previously reported, Dr Hamid had been involved in a bitter legal battle with his ex-wife lasting almost two decades.Ā 
Hamid said in legal documents that he feared for his life and that Ahang had threatened to kill him.
The urgent and emergency care doctor, who also treated drug and alcohol addiction, had been the victim of a beating that saw a gang of men set upon him with baseball bats just months before he was killed.Ā 
The legal fight, which began in 2009 when the couple divorced, subsequently expanded to include two fraud cases, a civil harassment battle, four applications for restraining orders and the repeated reopening of their divorce case – most recently in January, 2024 – prior to his murder.

The doctor complained in a 2017 application that one order awarded to his former wife had forced him to leave the $6 million six-bedroom Calabasas home where she still lived.
In May, 2024, Dr. Mirshojae sued Ahang Kelk Mirshojae, his ex-wife and mother of his three older children for fraud.
The doctor who was due a $270,000 settlement awarded back in a 2021 case, had accused Ahang of transferring assets to her mother and other family members to obstruct his collecting settlement cash .
The pair were scheduled for yet another face off in court, the month of the assassination for a hearing on the fraud case.

The protracted legal fights between the former couple, which began in 2009 when the couple divorced,Ā  expanded to include two fraud cases, a civil harassment battle, four applications for restraining orders and the repeated reopening of their divorce case prior to his murder.
Shortly after the pair decided to divorce in 2009, Hamid Mirshojae applied for a restraining order against Ahang and tried to keep her away from their $6 million marital home. The petition states the split was ‘due to physical violence’, as he her of punching him repeatedly.
Eight years later he returned to court seeking another restraining order, occasioned again by Ahang’s alleged behavior. According to Dr. Mirshojae, an angry Ahang turned up at his clinic in December 2016 and physically assaulted him.
Ahang’s former fiancĆ©, Allen Yadegar, he said was also present at the altercation, brandishing a weapon and threatening ‘he was going to kill’ the physician, according to the petition.

The trio of Ahang Mirshojae, Evan Hardman and Sarallah Jawed are charged with one felony count each of murder, and one felony count each of assault with a deadly weapon.
Shawn Randolph is also charged with one count of murder whileĀ Ashley Rose Sweeting is charged with one felony count of accessory after the fact.
Additionally the pair of Hardman and Jawed were also charged with one count each of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with an alleged baseball bat attack on Mirshojae on May 3, 2024.
Sweeting who has a string of convictions for felony violence offenses including first-degree burglary and grand theft is held on $1 million bail, while Hardman and Jawed are being held without bail.
