Texas mom charged with double-homicide, aggravated injury after shooting her four kids, killing two – years after appearing on Paternity Court TV show in failed effort to establish paternity of her first child

A mother from home in Montgomery County, Texas has been accused of shooting dead two of her kids a decade after she appeared on Paternity Court TV to establish the paternity of her child.
Oninda Romelus, allegedly killed her son, 13, and daughter, three, inside a vehicle on Saturday in the Houston area.
She also injured her eight-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter who are in stable condition after being airlifted to a Houston hospital, with severe injuries, but reportedly stable. 
Police said Romelus called 911 at 4.30am requesting help at the Shell gas station in Angleton. 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the four children shot inside an Audi sedan, according to Brazoria County Sheriff Bo Stallman.
The Audi is registered the suspect, identified as the children’s mother, 31-year-old Oninda Romelus. The Haitian born tax agent who recently relocated to Montgomery County, Texas from Georgia with her children, had driven to the gas station, parked her car and dialed police to report the incident.
Investigators said they believe the children were shot inside the car at another unknown location before Romelus drove to the gas station.

Romelus was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
According to court documents, she told Brazoria County investigators that her children were “with the devil.”
When asked why she called 911, she stated, “Instead of them doing it to me, I’m gonna do it to them,” according to court documents.
When asked what she meant by “do it to them, Romelus replied, “kill them all.”
She’ being held on a $14million bond. A court will decide who will have temporary custody of the surviving children once they are released from the hospital.

The tragedy came a decade after Romelus appeared as a teen mom on Paternity Court TV in 2013 seeking help determining the paternity of one of her children.
Romelus claimed she had cheated on her fiancĂ© of four years, DeWayne Seymore, and thus did not know which of the two men was her child’s father. It later emerged that neither of the two men was the father of the teenager’s son.
The infant whose paternity was in doubt twelve years ago is a male child named O’Karreo – same age as the oldest child shot dead allegedly, by Romulus.
‘I cheated him basically out of spite,’ Romelus explained after claiming Seymore had been first to cheat on her.

Paternity Court ordered DNA tests determined that neither Seymore nor Jeremy Covington, the other man, were O’Karreo’s father. 
One of the potential dads, her then boyfriend, Shane Dwayne Seymore, would be convicted in 2017, as one of the members of the United Blood Nation gang who kidnapped Frank Janssen, the father of a North Carolina state prosecutor who was involved in the successful prosecution of one of the gang’s founders, Kelvin Melton, who orchestrated the kidnap to force a dismissal of his case.

According to the charging documents, when deputies responded to that gas station off of State Highway 288 on Saturday, they found Romelus’ car running with all doors open and some of the children’s bodies covered in a white sheet.
The officers found a 13-year-old boy slumped over in the passenger seat with gunshot wounds and three younger children in the backseat.
All the children had been shot.

James Chappell the grandfather Amari Chappell, the three-year-old girl who was shot dead, as well the injured eight-year-old boy, revealed that his son, their father of the two kids is currently incarcerated. 
Chappell added that he ‘didn’t see anything wrong with [Romelus’] personality before the alleged shooting.
‘She seemed like a beautiful person,’ said Chappell. ‘She had a wonderful job and everything.’
