<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A Florida mother-of-three was shot dead by her husband of two years after he went berserk over an NFL game and shot his stepdaughter in the face.<br>Three days to Christmas Jason Kenney, 47, shot his 13-year-old stepdaughter, severely injuring her, and murdered his wife during the mayhem.<br>Crystal Roure, 38, died protecting her three children after a dispute with her husband, Jason Kenney, that began when she asked him to turn off a football game.<br>As the argument escalated, Crystal feared for her children’s safety and told her 12-year-old son to run to a neighbor’s house and call 911, according to Polk County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<br>As the boy ran outside, he heard gunshots. Police later found Crystal dead in the home along with her severely injured 13-year-old daughter.</p>

Kenney meanwhile had fled the crime scene.<br>Deputies tracked Kenney down to a shed on his late father&#8217;s property. After officers issued a command that the fugitive step out, they heard a single gunshot. Kenney was found dead inside the shed. <br>It was later understood that on arrival at his father&#8217;s home, he had called his sister to confess that he did &#8216;something very bad.&#8217;<br>The teen girl miraculously survived the attack, with the bullet striking the bridge of her nose and ricocheting through the top of her head. <br>Sheriff Grady Judd addressing the media said the teen victim told investigators, &#8216;I begged [my stepdad], don’t shoot me, don’t shoot me, don’t shoot me, and he shot me anyway.&#8217;<br>Kenney fled the scene to his late father&#8217;s home, before calling his sister to tell her to make his confession, and turning the gun on himself when he was cornered. </p>
