<p>Burke, was <a href="https://x.com/TMZ/status/2044969485720006922" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">placed in handcuffs</a> while surrounded by police, thrown into a cruiser and taken to the LA County Jail.<br>The arrest is connected to the 2025 killing of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered body was found inside a vehicle abandoned for days, on a quiet street in Los Angeles before it was stored at an impound lot. The Tesla SUV was registered to the singer. <br>The singer denies the allegations, with his attorneys noting there has been no grand jury indictment and no criminal complaint filed. Burke is being held in jail without bail.</p>

<p>Rivas, from Lake Elsinore in California, was reported missing by her family in 2024 when she was 13. <br>Investigators say she was 14 when she died. Her body was discovered a day after her 15th birthday in September 2025. <br>Her remains were discovered after the 2023 Tesla Model Y, which was registered to Burke&#8217;s address in Texas, was impounded. <br>The vehicle had sat on a public street for more than 72 hours and was seemingly abandoned, according to the LAPD.<br>Employees at the Hollywood Tow yard called police after they noticed a stench coming from the vehicle.<br>Investigators searched the Tesla and found a cadaver bag &#8216;covered with insects and a strong odor of decay,&#8217; court documents said.<br>&#8216;Detectives partially unzipped the bag and observed a decomposed head and torso,&#8217; the filings added.<br>LA medical examiner&#8217;s office investigators then removed the bag and &#8216;discovered the arms and legs had been severed from the body,&#8217; according to court documents. <br>A second black bag was found under the first, and dismembered body parts were inside it. No cause of death has been publicly revealed.</p>
