Virginia based Realtor Lisa E. Bradford, described by neighbors as friendly and outgoing was fatally shot by her husband in their Aldie-area home on Sept. 22, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
60-year-old Roger Paul Bradford called a relative and said he killed his wife, Lisa, 54, according to Loudoun County Sheriff Michael L. Chapman.
The relative called the Sheriff’s Office around 12:10 p.m. and deputies found Lisa Bradford in her home at Quimby Oaks Place in the Grove at Willowsford neighborhood, Chapman said at a press conference the afternoon of Sept. 22
Roger Bradford fled the scene in a rental car and was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police in Bedford, Pennsylvania, approximately 100 miles east of Pittsburgh, at about 3:15 p.m., authorities said. 
Bradford is believed to have used a pistol, Chapman said. While the alleged murder weapon has not been recovered, it is expected that he will be charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony when extradited from Pennsylvania.
No one else was home at the time of the homicide, he said. The Bradfords have three children: two teenagers and one in college.
“Any kind of a situation like this is absolutely awful,” Chapman said. He declined to release further details because the investigation is active.
Lisa Bradford, a 1995 graduate of Miami University earned her real estate license in 2006 after a decade working in marketing for the Ford Motor Company, according to her LinkedIn profile. The Bradfords purchased their home in 2015, according to county property records.
The murder suspect is awaiting extradition back to Virginia.
