The ‘cannibalistic’ Syrian rebel who was filmed eating a regime soldier’s heart and liver has been killed in an ambush along the coast. Graphic photos posted online show the body of Abu Sakkar, who fought for the al-Qaeda affiliated al Nusra Front, lying inside a body bag. There are conflicting reports as to how he died in the north-western Latakia province, where there have been reports of deadly clashes between militia groups and government troops.
