Jeremiah Monell, who was arrested by New Jersey police after a two-week manhunt, appeared in Cumberland County Courthouse on Jan. 9
In April 2016, the suspect Jeremiah Monell allegedly broke into the home of his estranged wife Tara O’Shea-Watson’s home in Millville new Jersey and stabbed her multiple times in the neck, torso and abdomen.However, according to court records, a Cumberland County Grand Jury in August indicted Monell on fourth-degree criminal contempt, for violating the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act and a second-degree burglary charge. it remains unclear why all of the charges against Monell were dismissed in November, 2016.
After he was identified as a suspect in the stabbing death of his wife, Monell led police on a 2-week manhunt, arrested and held without bail in Cumberland County Jail for the murder of his 35-year-old wife.

According to the Press of Atlantic City the mother-of-two was discovered by one of her children who then and then told a neighbor, who dialed 911. The paper also reports that
Monell on Monday appeared in court, where he told officials he intends to represent himself during his criminal proceedings.
He is charged with murder, weapons offenses and violating a restraining order.
Authorities put out a warrant for Monell’s arrest in December and found him two weeks later off Black Horse Pike in Atlantic County. A witness called into State police with a tip about his location that ultimately lead to his arrest.
