Georgia deputies raided a middle school teacher’s home and seized guns and $6 million in cocaine and heroin
The teacher Karla Alvarez, 28, and two others are facing drug trafficking and gun charges following Thursday’s drug bust by local authorities in Oakwood, Hall County, Georgia.
Investigators say three people lived in the home. Karla Alvarez , 28, and Monica Pascual Brito, 24,  were arrested. Authorities are still searching for the third person, Monica’s 25-year-old brother, Ricardo Pascual Brito.

Hall County School authorities confirm Alvarez is a teacher and girls soccer coach at Chestatee Middle School Academy. School officials say she has been with the school since August 2015.
Maria Salgado lives across the street from the school. Her children, and now grandchildren go to Chestatee. She says she’s shocked by the arrest and has already talked to her grandson about what happened. . “I tell him you never know the teachers, some of them are very nice, but you know them at school you don’t know what they do out of school,” says Salgado.
Hall County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Ricardo Pascual Brito, to give them a call.

On Friday  Fox 5 Atlanta reported reported that Alvarez is a teacher at Chestatee Middle School Academy in Gainesville. She also coaches the girls soccer team. She teaches Spanish, according to the school’s website.
“I’ve worked drugs and gangs for a long time and it was one of the larger cocaine seizures I’ve ever seen,” Hall County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Ware said, according to the station.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 4000 block of Crawford Oaks Drive in Oakwood, and found 61 kilograms of cocaine, 1 kilogram of heroin and two semi-automatic assault rifles and cash in the home, which Alvarez shared with Monica Brito and her brother, Ricardo.
The estimated value of the drugs totaled $6,209,280.

 Brito was arrested along with Alvarez..Deputies are still searching for Ricardo who faces the same charges.

Ware told the  Gainesville Times “They got information that there was probably a substantial amount of heroin and cocaine at the house.”
The paper reported that Alvarez has been a teacher at Chestatee since 2015.
The Hall County School district is conducting an investigation as a result of the arrest.
The case is still under investigation. Georgia authorities urge anyone with information on Ricardo Brito’s whereabouts  to call the sheriff’s office non-emergency dispatch at 770-536-8812 or the warrants division at 770-531-6907.
