Detectives busted an off-duty cop and his girlfriend after the couple twice sold drugs to undercover officers, police said Friday.
The city’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan says Jose Sierra and another suspect, Lina Bedoya Muriel, were arrested outside a house in East Elmhurst on Thursday.
The couple sold cocaine from their car to an undercover officer on 38th Ave. near 11th St. in Astoria on two separate dates in May, prosecutors said.
When they were arrested cops found 18 packets of cocaine on Muriel. Another 36 bags were found in their trunk.
Police also found a pistol, three scales, and passports inside their Queens home.
Sierra is a six-year veteran on the force, and was assigned to the NYPD’s housing patrol unit in the Bronx and live-in girlfriend Bedoya Muriel , both now face several drug.
Both looked sullen Friday as a Manhattan judge ordered them held on $50,000 bail.
