Deputy Coroner, Kathleen Traci Allen, the Coroner’s wife is accused of filing false death scene sex report on report that got female colleague fired, then turning on a male colleague who spurned her advances
The Monroe County, Pa., coroner’s office has found itself wading through two lawsuits and a police investigation in the wake of such lurid allegations as a deputy coroner and a cop having sex at a death scene, workers stealing items including prescription drugs off dead bodies and flaunting decidedly not safe for work cellphone photos to coworkers.
Those allegations and more came to light in recent court filings thanks to deputy coroner Lauren Fizz, who was fired in late August and is now suing in federal court as well as another deputy coroner, Michael Sak, who was disciplined and filed a county lawsuit earlier this month.
Fizz claims a connected colleague created a false story about her having sex with a police officer at a death scene last year. Fizz lost her job in the aftermath.
The entire she insists is a lie. Rather she said. the termination was really about her reporting misconduct by another Deputy Coroner, Kathleen Traci Allen. who incidentally is married to the Coroner, Bob Allen.
Fizz says Traci Allen has assumed all duties of the Coroner, including disciplining and firing employees. She adds, those decisions are supposed to be made only by Coroner Bob Allen.
Fizz alleges Traci stole personal items and prescription medication from the deceased.
The lawsuit also claims Traci has “created a sexually hostile work environment by leaving work early for a liaison in the woods and displaying male genitalia on her cell phone”, which Traci allegedly claimed belonged to one of her lovers.
The document also alleges Traci altered payroll and overtime records.
“Anything to make sure I don’t win the election,” – Monroe County Coroner Robert Allen
Likewise, Sak claims he turned down sexual advances made by Allen on two occasions, leading to her trying to attack him.
Severely complicating matters is the fact that Allen is the wife of Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen.
When Sak allegedly told him about what his spouse had said, both husband and wife suggested he previously failed to follow safety procedures, leading to Bob Allen issuing a formal warning.
In a statement, the Monroe County District Attorney’s office says they are “actively investigating allegations of misconduct concerning the Office of the Coroner.”

Lauren Fizz say she was wrongfully terminated from employment as Dep Coroner because she reported official misconduct by the colleague who just happened to be the Coroner’s wife
In the suit, Fizz goes on to say Traci is not qualified for her position but “…holds this title solely because she is married to Coroner Robert Allen.”
Fizz says she informed the County’s Human Resources Office of these allegations before filing a lawsuit. It has been confirmed that County Commissioners were also aware of the allegations.
Bob and Traci Allen for comment. They say these are false accusations and stand behind their decision to fire Lauren Fizz.
For his part, Bob Allen says these are “all false, false allegations” coming to light just in time to affect his bid for reelection in November as he looks to extend his 25 years on the job, “Anything to make sure I don’t win the election,” He added.
