A police records reveal Chloe Ayling gave , contradicting previous statements when investigators interviewed her on the details of a reported shoe shopping outing she made  with one of her alleged kidnappers while in captivity.

The alleged victim reportedly broke down in tears when cops caught her lying about her alleged kidnapper, according to police reports.
The 20-year-old British model’s story has been under scrutiny over claims she was drugged, put in a suitcase and bundled into a car. One of the two men accused of kidnapping Ayling had earlier told the court the alleged victim was an “attention seeker”.
Michal Herba, 36, who was ordered back to return to Italy Friday, to face trial, claimed the British model was “free, chilled and relaxed” when he met her – despite her claims she had been drugged, locked in a suitcase and held ransom for six days.
Michal’s brother and alleged co-conspirator Lukasz Herba, 30, has since been in custody in Italy,  arrested after delivering Ayling to the British Embassy on July 17, six days after she clams she was kidnapped, during a trip to Milan for a photoshoot but was instead held captive at a farmhouse.

Prosecutor Florence Iveson told the court that : “The allegation is that Mr Herba acted in complicity with his brother, Lukasz Herba, and other unidentified persons to kidnap the victim in Milan.
“It is said she was drugged and kidnapped and a 300,000 euro ransom was demanded.”
Michael Herba’s attorney, George Hepburne Scott pointed out the contradiction of the alleged victim, Ayling and her captor shopping for shoes, a “wholly anomalous feature of a hostage situation,” Scott said.
In another incident Ayling went out  to breakfast with the kidnapper before her release when the pair found the British consulate was closed.
“It would amount to an abuse of process of the court if there was any evidence to suggest this was a publicity stunt.
“This case has a unique set of anomalies which might lead to the conclusion that the Italian authorities have been duped and that their process has been abused,” Scott concluded.

At one point in three separate interviews over nearly 13 hours, Chloe was asked about the tracksuit and shoes she was wearing. She said she was given them before leaving the house where she was allegedly held near Turin.
But the documents say she burst into tears when told a shopkeeper confirmed she was with Lukasz when they were bought. She told police: “It is true. I went with him to buy the shoes.’’
One officer asked: “So why did you lie to us?’’
Chloe, of Coulsdon, South London, again broke down before saying: “I don’t have a reasonable explanation.’’
Another cop asked in the interviews on July 17: “Don’t you think it seems strange that you went to buy shoes with the person who kidnapped you?’’ Chloe replied: “He was the person who could save me and who could help me regain my freedom. That’s the reason I didn’t fight and I didn’t ask for help from the woman in the shop.’’
