Andre Young, 52, attempted to rob a Speedway off Northland Boulevard in Forest Park on Monday night, but was stopped by a single powerful punch to the face in a moment captured by security cameras.
The suspect acted as if he was going to buy a can of beer, police said, then vaulted across the counter with a box cutter in his hand at a Speedway store, WLWT reports.
Young told the worker, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way.”
The clerk responded with a crushing right hook caught on surveillance video. The hapless would-be robber was out cold on the store floor.

During his court appearance on Tuesday, Young was still showing the injuries from the failed robbery, using crutches to support himself.
Police said Young was also convicted of robbing the same Speedway store in 2005.
