<article id="ra-body">Prosecutors have tracked down the man they say tried to blackmail comedian Kevin Hart by demanding some serious cash in exchange for an alleged sex tape that appeared to show him cheating on his pregnant wife.<br />
Actor Jonathan Todd Jackson, who goes by J.T. was charged with one count of attempted extortion and one count of extortion by threatening letter, the Los Angeles County District Attorney&#8217;s Office said Wednesday.<br />
41-year-old Jackson, who is also known as Action Jackson, is accused of trying to extort an undisclosed sum of money from the &#8220;Night School&#8221; star in August. Jackson allegedly had possession of a compromising video that showed Hart with a woman in Las Vegas, and was trying to shop the footage to various celebrity news sites.<br />
Hart apologized for the contents of the video in an emotional Instagram post in September that ‘fessed up to a &#8220;bad error of judgment.&#8221;<br />

He is set to be arraigned Wednesday, and prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $100,000. <p>It&#8217;s unclear what, if any, personal relationship Hart and Jackson had prior to the arrest, But records indicate that the pair had been close friends for more than 15 years, and that Jackson had bit parts in several of Hart&#8217;s movies.<br />
<a href="http://www.tmz.com/2018/05/02/kevin-hart-alleged-extortionist-charged-crime-sex-tape/">TMZ reports </a>that Jackson was in &#8220;S.W.A.T.,&#8221; &#8220;Naked&#8221; and even in Kevin&#8217;s movie &#8220;Think Like a Man Too.&#8221; The two have posted several photos together through the years and J.T. even attended Kevin&#8217;s bachelor party.</p>
