Alexis Carroll, [photo], died after falling from the sixth floor of a hotel balcony in Florida

A Florida woman fell to her death from a sixth floor hotel balcony after during an argument with her boyfriend, who had tried to pull her to safety.
An officer from the Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue was patrolling the area saw Alexis Carroll, from Jacksonville, fall from the balcony at the Holiday Inn hotel.

The 19-year-old Jacksonville woman fell to her death Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn Resort Daytona Beach Oceanfront after she had threatened other visitors at the hotel who had called security on her, police said.
The officer ran to the area where she had fallen and when he examined her he couldn’t find a pulse, Daytona Beach police said in a statement.
Witnesses say they saw her boyfriend Tyler Bell desperately trying to pull her back onto the balcony as she dangled over the side, before she fell.

Carroll had an argument with her boyfriend Tyler, before her death. Police say he repeatedly asked her to come inside and pull her to safety when she hung off the balconyWitnesses told investigators they heard a couple yelling in the room before the woman went onto the balcony.
The couple were staying at the Holiday Inn Resort Daytona Beach Oceanfront, The Florida Times-Union reported.
The woman had threatened other visitors at the hotel who had called security on her, according to the publication. Her boyfriend, named Tyler Bell, had repeatedly tried to coax her inside.

According to witnesses, Carroll had been in Room 602 and guests staying in Room 601 heard a disturbance coming from next door, the report stated.
They heard yelling between the couple  and eventually saw Carroll with her feet planted on the balcony while holding the railing and leaning backward, police said.
Tyler Bell tried to persuade Carroll to come off the balcony, but one of the witnesses had already called the front desk, according to the report.

The police reported stated that Bell said to Carroll ‘we want to have a good night’ and attempted to talk Carroll back onto the balcony. She then crawled over the railing and back onto the balcony.
Security showed up and left. A short time later Carroll went back to the balcony and began yelling at people next door for calling security, police said.
A woman staying in the room below also heard the commotion and called the front desk, according to police.
A short time later a woman heard Carroll’s boyfriend yelling: ‘Don’t do that!’ and saw Carroll  fall to her death, according to The Florida Times-Union.
Other witnesses told police they had heard Carroll screaming and heard breaking glass seconds before the fall, according to the report.
They heard a female voice scream one last time and went back outside. That’s when they observed Carroll lying on the ground, police said.
Stanley Crockett, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, who had been staying in the room below Carroll, witnessed the fall. He said: ‘I saw a body tumbling.’
Video camera footage the Holiday Inn property showed Carroll hanging off the balcony and Bell trying to pull her to safety approximately five times, police said.
