Shankar Hangud, 53, has been charged with the murder of his whole family including an an adult son and two teenage children
He is accused of killing his wife and three children over the course of a week before taking his oldest son’s body to the police station
Placer County officials identified the four as Hangud’s 46-year-old wife Jyothi Shankar, their children Varum Shankar, 20, Gauri Hangud, 16 and 13-year-old Nischal Hangud
Hangud reportedly killed two family members on October 7. Police say the killings happened at the family’s Roseville apartment in the northeast of Sacramento
Then the next day, October 6, there was another killing at the same location.
Five days later, Hangud killed his oldest son five days later in Siskiyou County near the Oregon

A man killed his wife and three children over nearly a week, showing up to a Northern California police station with the body of his oldest son in his car, authorities said.
After Shankar Hangud, 53, surrendered to the police with his son’s body inside his vehicle. Officers then found a further three bodies at Mr Hangud’s home on Junction Road in Roseville, California. It´s unclear how the victims died.
Placer County officials identified the four as Jyothi Shankar, 46; Varum Shankar, 20; Gauri Hangud, 16; and Nischal Hangud, 13, Sacramento news station KCRA-TV reported Tuesday.
They have charged Hangud with killing two family members on October 7. Police say the killings happened at the family’s Roseville apartment in the northeast of Sacramento.

They say he killed the oldest son five days later in Siskiyou County near the Oregon border and drove to a police station in Mount Shasta the next day with the body.
