According to the Evesham police report, officers were tending to a motor vehicle crash at about 1 a.m. on Sunday when a white Hyundai sedan was heading toward them at an estimated speed of 80 mph in a 45 mph-zone.
The vehicle appeared to accelerate as it passed the crash scene. Officers who were investigating the crash, raised a bolo with a description of the vehicle, but when an officer attempted a traffic stop near an intersection the driver sped through the red light.
