A Texas teenager was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly shot dead his parents and two siblings because he thought they were planning to feast on his flesh, according to an affidavit.
Cesar Olalde, 18, faces charges of capital murder for the deaths of his parents, sister and brother during an incident at their family home in Nash, a small town in Bowie County, Texas, on Tuesday, May 23.
According to an affidavit filed on Wednesday, Olalde is said to have killed his parents Reuben and Aida Olalde, as well as his older sister Lisbet and younger brother Oliver.
Documents state that the teenager shot all four and then dragged their bodies to a bathroom in the property before barricading himself in the house. 
It is also claimed that Cesar made statements at the time of the incident that he had killed his family because they were were ‘cannibals’ and ‘planned to eat him’.

The gruesome incident was discovered by Lisbet Olalde’s co-worker, Joseph Flieder, who was accompanied by his wife, made a welfare check on Lisbet when she failed to show up for work.
Flieder is believed to have told responding officers that the gunman admitted that he’d killed his family.
He also told police that family’s relatives and other friends had called their local church looking for information as to her whereabouts. 
When Flieder and his wife got to the residence they got no answer at the door, just as another Olalde family member arrived on the scene.  
When the trio forced entry to the property, they were confronted by Cesar, who was brandishing a firearm. 
during the confrontation Flieder alleges, Cesar admitted to killing his family because ‘they were cannibals and had plans to eat him.’

Joseph Flieder [photo], who arrived at the home with his wife to check up on coworker Lisbet Olalde when she didn’t show up for work, said when they forced their entry into the home, they were confronted by Cesar Olalde who was armed with a gun

It is also claimed Olalde frequently pointed a firearm at Flieder throughout the exchange and brandished a knife at him also.
Flieder managed to escape before Olalde was taken into custody after cops arrived on the scene and surrounded the property.      
Inside the residence, authorities said they found each of the victims shot multiple times and deceased inside a bathroom. 

Cesar Olalde admitted to the first people at the scene that he’d killed four members of his family inside the residence home in Nash, Texas, on Tuesday, Mary 23. He was arrested for quadruple-homicide and held on $10m bond 

The police report states that Olalde killed four members of his family and stashed their bodies inside a bathroom at the family’s home in Nash, Texas. He then barricaded himself in the house.
Investigators said that it looked like the victims were shot in other parts of the residence and dragged into the bathroom.
Responding officers report that there was ‘blood spatter on multiple surfaces’ and ‘multiple spent cartridge casing on the floor.’
The Bowie County Sheriff’s Department said a negotiator had been sent to the house after a standoff with police and negotiated Cesar’s surrender.

A GoFundMe set up to help the Olalde family organize a funeral service for the family by family’s other survivor, the gunman’s older sister Diana, has raised $52,000, ahead of the $50,000 target. 
She said: ‘On 5/23/2023 my world changed. My whole family my father who was a hard working man, my mother who was a caring and loving person, my sister who was full of life, happiness, and dreams, and my little brother who was an amazing, funny, and cheerful kid passed in a tragic turn events that even in my worst nightmare I couldn’t have dreamed. 
‘If these people ever touched your life in anyway please help and donate. Prayers would be much appreciated as well.’

The suspect got into a standoff with police after barricading himself inside on Tuesday. He surrendered only after the Bowie County Sheriff’s Dept sent a negotiator to the house to facilitate his surrender

In a statement, Bowie County Sheriff’s Department said: ‘On May 23, 2023, at approximately 10:48 am Nash Texas Police Department responded to 563 Lemon Acres in reference to an unknown issue. 
‘Witnesses on scene made officers aware of an individual armed and barricaded inside the residence. 
‘Law enforcement also received information that multiple lives had already been taken inside the home.
‘A negotiator from the Bowie County Sheriff’s Department established contact with the barricaded individual and successfully negotiated the surrender of the suspect, 18-year-old Cesar Olalde. 
‘Officers then entered the residence and located four deceased individuals. Olalde was booked into the Bi-State Jail in Texarkana, Texas for Capital Murder of Multiple Persons.’
Bail has been set at $10 million for Olalde.
