Six people died inside this home in Sequatchie, Tennessee, in what authorities have described as domestic incident 

Six people, including three children, their mother and their grandmother are dead in rural Tennessee following an horrific murder suicide that unfolded on Thursday night. 
Marion County Sheriff Bo Burnett described the scene as being ‘one of the worst I’ve been involved in all my career as a law enforcement officer.’ 
The incident occurred in the tiny community of Sequatchie, around 30 miles west of Chattanooga, at around 8pm.
A neighbor, Sylvia Cooper, told WTVC that she heard glass smash and then around five gunshots. 

Police say that the perpetrator set fire to the home after shooting some family members, two of the victims died of smoke inhalation

Shortly afterwards, flames could be seen coming from the home. Fire fighters from multiple communities were called to the scene to put out the fire.
After firefighters extinguished the flames, authorities found the remains of three adults and three children inside the home, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation [TBI], said.
The identities and ages of the victims was not immediately released.
While some victims died from gunshot wounds, at least two people died due to smoke inhalation in yet another case of familicide
A seventh person who sustained gunshot wounds in the incident was found and taken to a hospital in Chattanooga. The lone survivor, an adult, was rushed to a local hospital.

Marion County Sheriff Bo Burnett who said ‘It’s a domestic situation, evidently that has been ongoing for a pretty good while,’ described the scene as ‘one of the worst things I’ve seen’

‘It’s a domestic situation, evidently that has been ongoing for a pretty good while. We have six people confirmed dead. They have been removed from the scene and they have been taken to Nashville for an autopsy. The scene has been turned over to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation,’ Sheriff Burnett told the media.
‘This is one of the worst things I’ve seen. You hear about these things but this is one of the worst I’ve been involved in all my career as a law enforcement officer,’ the sheriff added. 
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is in taking the lead in the investigation. The sheriff said that there is no further threat to the community and that everybody involving in the incident has been accounted for. 
The victims were transported to the medical examiner’s office in Nashville for autopsies.
