Police in Georgia believe a domestic situation could have led to the demise of a a dentist found dead on August 31, in his expansive mansion in Georgia, alongside his wife and daughter.
Dr James Choi, his wife Myoung, both 52, and their 15-year-old daughter Grace were all discovered deceased inside their home on Sunday afternoon in what police suspect is murder-suicide.
Officers uncovered the tragic scene just after 4 pm on Sunday when responding to a call for a welfare check at the sprawling multi-million dollar home located in the private, gated community of St. Ives Country Club, 30 miles northeast of the Atlanta.

While cause of the death for the family has not been released, it is being treated as a case of double-murder suicide, as police believe James Choi killed his family and then himself.
‘This tragic incident has deeply affected not only the family and neighbors, but our entire community,’ Johns Creek police Chief Mark J. Mitchell said.
‘We extend our heartfelt condolences to those impacted and ask that the community keep them in their thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.’
Officials have declined to release further details about the killing out of respect for the family and in attempt to protect the integrity of their ongoing investigation.

The family’s bodies were discovered in the afternoon of Sunday Aug. 31, at the family’s residence inside the St. Ives Country Club gated community in Johns Creek, Ga.
James Choi, a board certified dentist, earned his dental doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, now practicing Highland Dental, located in nearby Suwanee, about 10 miles away from his home in Duluth.
The couple’s teenage daughter was a sophomore at Mount Pisgah Christian School in Johns Creek. Grace Choi, an accomplished violinist at the school, performed at Carnegie Hall in Manhattan with the True North Symphony on July 12.
Prior to the killings, according to those familiar the South Korea born dentist, he was an avid golfer who also enjoyed and spending time with his wife and daughter.
