US President Donald Trump has blamed the Iranian regime for bombing an elementary school filled with young girls with an American Tomahawk missile on February 28, the first day of ‘Operation Epic Fury’

A preliminary military investigation has determined that the United States was responsible for a missile strike on an Iranian elementary school that killed 175 people, most of them children.
Donald Trump had previously blamed the Iranian regime for bombing a school filled with young girls with an American Tomahawk missile on February 28 during the first day of ‘Operation Epic Fury.’
Findings which appear to confirm assertions by Tehran, which had produced video footage of the US missile strike and fragments of US-made missile parts, despite Trump’s reverse-blaming efforts suggesting Iranian projectiles hit the building, said ongoing investigation determined that US forces made the mistake while launching strikes on a nearby Iranian military base, which the school building was once part of..

Officers at US Central Command [CENTCOM], decided to strike the school using outdated data provided by the Defense Intelligence Agency, one of the premier US intelligence agencies.
The target location however, was not a military site. The strike on Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school which was full of children is now considered one of the most devastating US military errors in decades.
Another conclusive fact about the attack reportedly, comes from examining the several videos of the bombed school bombing shared on Iranian social media after the explosion.
On 8 March, Iranian state media Mehr News Agency released a video of a missile hitting a location in Minab. The missile shown in the video has been identified as a Tomahawk missile. The US is the only country involved in the Iran war to have this weapon – neither Israel nor Iran possess the Tomahawk missile.

As reported, US officials familiar with the probe say the reasons for outdated intelligence not being double-checked by officers is being probed.
Trump on Saturday said Iran was was responsible for bombing its own school, claiming ‘they’re very inaccurate with their munitions, they have no accuracy whatsoever.’ However, quested in the light of Wednesday’s report, the president said: ‘I don’t know about it.’
When questioned White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, 28, offered no condolences in response to the military’s findings that the US killed schoolchildren: ‘As The New York Times acknowledges in its own reporting, the investigation is still ongoing.’

The Iranian school is located on the same block as building used by the regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in the town of Minab.
At one point in the past decade, the school was connected to the base, but at some undetermined time became a separate facility as a school for young children. Prior satellite imagery shows that the school building had been fenced from the regime’s military base between 2013-2016.
Satellite photos also reportedly showed play areas for children had been built, including a sports field, and that the walls were painted blue and pink.
Despite the removal of the watchtowers for military guards that once stood near the school being removed, albeit at an unknown date, the Defense Intelligence Agency labeled the school as a military target when it provided data to Central Command headquarters.
