Samuel Jevon Reaves entered Wells Fargo building and told a teller, “this is a robbery. Give me all your money in the bank,” according to the Sun newspaper.
Reaves, 32, initially told the teller he needed money, when she asked if he had a debit card, he responded, “This is a robbery. Give me all your money in the bank.”
The teller gave Reaves money that was in her drawer and asked if he wanted a bag. Reaves said yes and thanked the teller.
He then took the bag with more than $10,000 in it, according to police. Reaves left the bank and walked through the neighboring Public parking lot.
A bank employee trailed discreetly, taking photos of him with his phone, the report said. Reaves then strolled into the restaurant and sat next to a woman. He later told police he tried to bum her a cigarette off the woman.
When officers arrived, they found him at the KFC with the bag of money, and he admitted to police that he had just robbed the bank.
He was held in the Alachua County jail. Bond was set at $250,000.
