She faces up to 15 years in prison, sentencing is set for May 31

A California woman who reportedly drove nearly a mile drunk with a homeless man stuck in her windshield was convicted of murder.
Esteysi “Stacy” Sanchez is on trial for the brutal death of a transient in Oceanside on July Sanchez, 31, was found guilty Friday of killing Jack Tenhulzen when she struck him with her car on June 27 2016 on an Oceanside sidewalk.
Prosecutors said Jack Ray Tenhulzen was walking along the 4000 block of Mission Avenue about 6:30 a.m. on Monday, June 26 when Sanchez hit him

DUI suspect Sanchez [photo], was an unlicensed driver, her blood alcohol was double legal limit and she claimed she was unaware of the dangers posed by drinking and driving
69-year-old Tenhulzen, a transient who was walking on the sidewalk of Mission Avenue in Oceanside was struck with such force, the impact stripped him of his clothes and severed his leg. The appendage flew through the back window and landed on the trunk of the car, police said.
Sanchez continued driving with the man she hit lodged in her windshield. The rest of his body was sent flying through the windshield, where he remained lodged as she drove for about a mile before she parked and left the scene, police said.

Sanchez subsequently abandoned the car on the street near her home. before walking into her house and changing her clothes, like nothing happened. Jack Tenhulzen bled to death inside Sanchez’s abandoned car.
Two hours after the crash, the suspect had blood-alcohol levels of between .18 and .19 percent, more than twice the legal limit of .08. She admitted to the police that she had been drinking o the night.
Deputy District Attorney Aimee McLeod called Sanchez “a great danger to the public.’
The jury deliberated for a day before finding Sanchez guilty of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit and run with death or permanent serious injury.
Sanchez faces up to 15 years in prison. She is set to be sentenced May 31.

So I wonder how much now she claims she doesn’t understand English or what’s being said because she has hearing headphones on, and how much that cost us taxpayers.

I feel for the man who was killed, my childhood friend Alan Ellis was hit by a PROBATION OFFICER who was driving drunk on a restricted license and only got 1 year!! The story of Alan is sickening.
