Elliott had been partying and drinking together with 11 other TCU freshmen – all teenagers – on the waters of Lake Travis, northwest of Austin, Texas
After a lawsuit filed by Elliot’s parents, it was later revealed that he was pushed after being ‘gently shoved’ by a girl he was flirting with while sitting at the front of the boat
Elliott reportedly, was sitting at the front of the boat kissing Delaney Brennan before she gave him a playful shove, he went overboard, hitting the propeller and died
The remaining 11 teens spent just five minutes searching for Elliott then left
The group allegedly concocted a story to hide the truth from authorities while claiming Jack was drunk when he fell overboard

Three Texas Christian University students have been jailed for just five days each after one kissed a 19 year-old, then shoved him off their boat and on to a propeller that killed him.
Delaney Brennan boarded the boat with boyfriend Jack Elliott, 19, and ten others in October 2019 – just months after starting at the college – before the tragic incident.
All except one were drinking: Brennan and Elliott were sitting at the front of the boat as it cruised Lake Travis, near Austin.
Brennan, from Huntington Beach, California, pushed Elliott, who went overboard, was ‘struck by the propeller multiple times and was killed,’ a report from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department concluded.
The group only spent five minutes searching for Elliott before returning to the dock.
Brennan and two others – Elle Weber and Carson Neel – then concocted a story about how Elliott had gone overboard, and lied about the events leading up to his death.

Police searched for Jack Elliott’s body after the group of teens on the boat failed to locate him. The 19-year-old, had been partying and drinking with 11 other freshmen from TCU on the waters of Lake Travis, near Austin
On Thursday, a judge in Austin sentenced the trio of Delaney Brennan, Elle Weber and Carson Neel – whose father ran the marina – to five days each in prison.
Elliott’s younger sister, Ava, told the defendants she hoped their lives were joyless, as her family’s now were.
‘I hope that the guilt catches up with each and every one of you and takes a little bit of joy out of every happy moment, similar to what grief has done to me and my parents,’ she said in her victim’s statement, according to The Orange County Register.
‘Considering that Jack is missing out on nearly 80 years of his life, the thought of each of you spending 15 to 30 days in prison sounds like the better end of the deal.’
Elliott’s father Brett said the trio had ‘zero integrity’.

The group lied about how he died, and colluded to hide the truth.
‘You did the wrong things over and over, and you lied over and over and your parents supported the lies,’ he said in court.
‘Now, here in this courthouse, is where you end up — a convict going to jail.
‘And yet the sad part is you still have zero character and zero integrity.’
Brett Elliott said he was disgusted at the trio participating in candlelight vigils while lying about what happened.

‘All of you stood together arm in arm and took pictures and smiled, knowing you had killed Jack,’ he said.
‘You stood up there lying and manipulating everyone basking in the sympathy. Then, the truth was exposed.’
Weber, who like almost all the others had been drinking, was at the wheel of the boat when she saw Brennan give Elliott a ‘playful little shove’, and he fell into the water.
Neel jumped in after him, but they could not find him, and after five minutes turned around.
Weber then rang 911, but gave her name as ‘Elle Macpherson’. She claims she had not heard of the supermodel.

One member of the party revealed that panicked Delaney Brennan kept repeating: ‘He [Elliot],fell! I didn’t mean to push him’ after he went overboard. She was indicted on a felony charge of tampering with evidence by aiding in the deletion of a cellphone video. She could face up to 10 years in jail and a $10,000 fine

Elle Weber [photo], was piloting the boat that day according to her sworn deposition. She reversed her originally version that nobody had any clear idea how their fell overboard, after the Elliot family filed a lawsuit in 2020

The boating expedition was led by Carson Neel whose dad, Billy, ran the Northshore Marina, He was also sentenced to spend 5 days in prison
The group threw the alcohol overboard as they were returning to the dock, and made the only one not to have drunk – Anthony Salazar, who was feeling unwell – take the wheel.
They told police Elliott did a backflip off the boat and disappeared.
They then said he was vomiting off the side, and fell.
The group even rang Elliott’s parents at home in California and tearfully promised to tell the truth.
Weber told the Elliotts: ‘We don’t know how Jack fell off the boat. We don’t know if Jack stood up to change his position and he lost his balance or if he was fixing his hair, we don’t know what he was doing.

‘These are the most honest answers we can give you right now.’
Yet soon after their call, the Elliotts were contacted by the father of one of the teenagers who was also in the room at the time of the call.
He told them he had heard that Elliott did not fall off the boat but was in fact pushed, the Register reported.
