in Police in New Hampshire are investigating whether the suspected killer acted in self-defense after a Republican activist and lawyer was found was stabbed to death inside his home over the weekend.

Police have launched an investigation into his death, which they ruled as homicide, and the attorney general’s office announced that it has identified all parties involved in the incident.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether the person who stabbed Talcott was acting in self-defense, NBC 10 Boston reports

Authorities were looking into ‘whether the person who stabbed Mr. Talcott, did so in self-defense,’ a release from his office said.
Their name has not been released and police said there was no danger to the public.
No arrests have yet been made, police said, after naming Talcott as the deceased on Sunday.
According to his LinkedIn profile, the Talcott worked as a general counsel and director of real estate firm New Constellation Capital as well as an an adjunct instructor in business law and finance at the University of New Hampshire.
In an interview published online last November, Talcott said he received “public schooling” in an affluent New York suburb and, in college, he “met and later married a prestigious prep school alumna. “And today we homeschool our three kids!” he added.

Talcott has been described as a ‘staunch advocate for the core values of the Republican party’ by his peers and as someone who ‘always wanted to help’.
William O’Brien, he state director of the New Hampshire chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association told NBC 10 Boston: ‘Talcott’s unwavering belief in liberty, free markets, and limited government resonated deeply in his role as a lawyer.
‘Within the RNLA, his leadership was unwavering in in promoting our shared values, ensuring every member felt empowered and well-prepared.’
O’Brien added: ‘Alex was an exceptionally skilled champion for the rule of law and the importance of fair and honest elections.
‘We will forever honor Alex’s selfless dedication and profound contributions to our shared vision of liberty through legal processes.
‘His legacy will undoubtedly inspire future generations within the RNLA and the greater legal community.’
