Police seized one of the robbers as he tried to escape but the rest remain on the loose

Cops arrested 29-year-old Danny Sommay, a Banning resident, after he was seen throwing his gun over a brick wall.

Sommay faces charges of kidnapping, robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a loaded and stolen firearm and armed criminal action

He is being held at Orange County Jail on a bond of $1million  

The home invaders all wore masks as they forced their victims, including a seven-year-old girl, to the floor and tied them up on Tuesday night. This image was taken inside the family home on one of their own cameras 

A terrified woman whispered down the line to 911 operators from a closet in her California home as four masked robbers tied up the rest of her family and held them at gunpoint on Tuesday night.
The heavily-armed gang burst into the $1.2 million Orange County home late on Monday night and ordered the petrified family to the floor.
They used a stun gun to subdue the only man in the house and demanded to know where the family kept their valuables. 
They then tied up the man, an elderly woman, a 14-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl before ransacking the home.

The other adult woman had managed to hide and call 911. 
Responding officers from the local Westminster Police Department on arrived met the family still tied up and the gang fleeing the house. 
Three of the home invaders fled, but police arrested 29-year-old Banning resident Danny Sommay after he was seen throwing his gun over a brick wall.

They recovered the loaded 9mm handgun, which had earlier been reported stolen, but the rest of the gang slipped through the net and remain at large despite a search involving a helicopter from the nearby Huntington Beach Police Department.
One neighbor said she saw the drama unfold and that there had been a lot of robberies and break-ins recently in the area.
‘I think every Westminster police car was in my street,’ she added.
‘I’d never felt so safe so I opened my door and walked outside but they were yelling and screaming to get back in the house or you will get shot, and they were chasing someone up and down the street.’

Police were on the scene within minutes after receiving the woman’s whispered call at 10.40pm. Three of the gang remain at large despite an immediate police search assisted by a helicopter

The Westminster Police Department has not revealed whether anything was stolen in the raid or why the family was targeted. The condition of the family has not been disclosed.
Sommay, the lone member of the gang in custody was booked into the Orange County Jail the following morning on charges of kidnapping, robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a loaded and stolen firearm and armed criminal action. His bail was set at $1 million.
